Barrowboy & Banker, London Bridge
FancyaPint?'s review...
This is just the mind of place you'd expect on the route home for the over-the-water-dwelling City boys. Fullers have brought their money and expertise to providing refreshment to the hardworking City types on their way home to the South East dormitory suburbs, after a hard day's work lining the pockets of the privileged. The usual, excellent Fuller's fare and service are of course here in abundance, but we have to say the place is sadly lacking in atmosphere, being in turns either too crowded or too empty.

I'd give this a steady 3 - twice I have been in over the previous weeks and there have been a wide array of people in there. If people on their way home from the City want solid ale and good food (the pies aren't gonna win Masterchef, but they're more than acceptable), then I don't blame them!

I agree with the previous poster, this review is no more a pub review than a snarky commentary about City workers (and not the only review here to do so).
Good beer as always from Fullers, with the Pride particularly good, set in a welcoming environment. The fact that it sit on the other side of the commuter walk over London Bridge means it's not as packed as it could be at peak times, and not necessarily always "suits".
3 pints I reckon, and less of the suit bashing thanksverymuch

While the B&B is not worthy of a full 5-pint rating, 2-pints seems a bit harsh. The Fullers real ales have always been kept spot on and my experience with the staff has been quite good. The atmosphere, while not dark and nostalgic, is fitting for a decent pub. When my wife and I are in the market area, we always stop in for a good pint. Your reviewer seems to have based the low rating on his personal bias regarding the "City types" customers, rather than the merits of the establishment itself.
